However, late the night before the scheduled meeting, he cancelled citing illness. Shortly thereafter, he provided a different explanation, stating that he did not feel there was sufficient personal connection to proceed. This inconsistency raises concerns regarding honesty and professionalism.
Importantly, he had multiple opportunities to communicate this decision earlier—either at the initial meeting or prior to my incurring expenses—but failed to do so. While an apology was offered, no effort was made to mitigate the financial loss or to propose an alternative arrangement.
